The last date for payment, for the Admission to the UG courses [B.Com (Hons.) Day & Morning, B.M.S. (Hons ), B.A. in English (Hons.), B.A. in Economics (Hons.) and B.A. in Mass Communication (Hons.)] is extended till 3rd August 2021, till 5 PM.
2nd Provisional List (if any) for the above mentioned courses will be published on 7th August 2021, 5 PM.

 

 

General Information

 

  • No candidate shall be eligible for admission after a lapse of more than three years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination. The year of admission will not be taken into account while calculating 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination.
  • A student must have studied and passed in English in the +2 level. (excluding the foreign students for whom there is a separate set of rules).
  • Admission will be given on the basis of the marks of the Admission Test. However, the student must pass Plus Two examination conducted by a recognised Board/Council in India and obtain a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate and also minimum 45% marks in each of the four subjects (as mentioned in the eligibility criteria) included in the aggregate calculation. During the admission procedure if it is found that a candidate is selected on the basis of admission test but fails to fulfill the minimum marks criteria as mentioned above then the admission of the candidate will be cancelled.
  • The final Plus Two result must be submitted to the University at the time of admission.

  • Every applicant must fulfil the eligibility criteria as laid down for each course.
  • Students passing the GCE examination of the UK are eligible for admission only if they have passed with two 'A' Levels and three 'O' levels
  • Students from foreign countries need to produce their English Proficiency certificate (TOEFL, IELTS) if the instruction of study in the qualifying examination is not in English medium at the time of admission. 

The University reserves the right to reject the candidature and/or cancel the application / admission at any stage if an applicant fails to fulfil the above conditions.

Aggregate calculation: English + Mathematics/ Business Mathematics/ Statistics/ Accountancy + any two
Eligibility calculation for final admission Aggregate marks: 55% or above, Minimum marks for each of the best four subjects for aggregate calculation: 45%

B.M.S. (Honours)

Eligibility Criteria for Application: Compulsory Subject(s) in +2 level: English + Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Statistics/Accountancy
Aggregate calculation: Best four subjects English + Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Statistics/Accountancy + any two
Eligibility calculation for final admission Aggregate marks: 55% or above, Minimum marks for each of the best four subjects for aggregate calculation: 45%
Selection: On the basis of Admission Test

 

 

B.A. Economics (Honours)

Eligibility Criteria for Application: Compulsory Subject(s) in +2 level: English plus Mathematics / Statistics
Aggregate calculation: English + Mathematics / Statistics + any two
Eligibility calculation for final admission Aggregate marks: 55% or above, Minimum marks for each of the best four subjects for aggregate calculation: 45%
Selection: On the basis of Admission Test

 

 

B.A. English (Honours)

Eligibility Criteria for Application: Compulsory Subject(s) in +2 level: English
Aggregate calculation: English + any three
Eligibility calculation for final admission Aggregate marks: 55% or above, Minimum marks for each of the best four subjects for aggregate calculation: 45%

B.A. Mass Communication (Honours)

Eligibility Criteria for Application: Compulsory Subject(s) in +2 level: English
Aggregate calculation: English + any three
Eligibility calculation for final admission Aggregate marks: 55% or above, Minimum marks for each of the best four subjects for aggregate calculation: 45%
Selection: On the basis of Admission Test
   

 

Application fee: 1000.00 (Application fee will not be refunded for any reason)

 

IMPORTANT DATES, SYSTEM REQUIREMENT AND ADMISSION TEST PROCEDURE

 

  1. Last date for the submission of online application and the application fee for the above mentioned Under Graduate degree courses: Saturday 03.07.2021 (till 5 PM)
  2. Mode of Test and Tentative Date & Time of Admission Test:
    Only Internet Based Test (IBT) will be conducted.
  3. Admit Card Release Date: Tuesday 07.07.2021 (after 2 PM)
    (Admit Card downloading link and all details related to Mock Test will be communicated to the candidates through e-mail)
  4. Mock Test: 08.07.2021 & 09.07.2021
  5. Dates for admission Test: 10.07.2021, 11.07.2021 & 12.07.2021

Physical verification of the Documents will be conducted later and till that time admission will remain provisional. For the Admission purpose candidates will be required to upload soft copies of the documents. Specific dates for physical verification of documents will be announced later.

Fee Refund Policy: As per UGC Notification, October 2018


Minimum System Requirements for Internet Based Admission Test
Windows 7 or above, 2 GB RAM or above, Core 2 Duo or above, 64-bit, 20 GB Free HDD Space in 'C' drive, Single plug and play colour Web Camera with proper driver installed and working. In case of laptop, inbuilt web camera should be activated. Stable Internet connection will be required.

St. Xavier's University offers scholarships to the deserving students who are economically weak.
Two types of scholarship are offered to the undergraduate and postgraduate students:
100% fee waiver and 50% fee waiver.
