Ground Floor: Lending Section

The main purpose of the Lending Section is to assist library patrons with the location and circulation of library materials. Circulation basically includes check-outs and check-ins of library resources and items, collection of fines and other charges, renewal and holding of the materials. At the circulation desks patrons may avail of the following services:

Issue and return library items
Register for library membership
Update library patron records (new address, telephone numbers, etc.)
Renew the issued item
Koha Library Management System with 'DDC 23rd Classification Schedule'
Self-issuing/ return machines: "KIOSK"
RFID technology with Gate Antenna

First Floor: Reading Section

The SXUK Library reading room is mainly for individual reading in a calm environment. Here users can refer to the entire rich collection of reference books and others facilities:

11 Computer terminals with high speed internet access
Wireless internet to facilitate the use of laptops
National and international journals
National and international magazines
Latest Technology of CCTV Surveillance
WIFI as well as access to common productivity software applications
Photocopier service in the Reading Library office
Computers are installed for E-resource materials
Multimedia equipment (DVD players and monitors) and multimedia resources
Koha ILMS with 'DDC 23rd Classification Systems'

Second Floor: Law Library

SXUK Library has a separate library for the Law School under Xavier Law School. Law Library is a gateway to quality education and research in the field of law, social sciences, and humanities. The Library endeavours to facilitate the legal society by providing right information to right users at the right time. We believe in providing services in a personal way to our users. SXUK Law Library has a rich collection of Knowledge Resources both in print and electronic form. It is our endeavour to provide you reference services in locating resources and information in the best possible way. The other facilities are:
