Students’ Attendance
- As per the University Rules.
Eligibility for Appearing in the End-Semester Examinations
- A student must have required attendance as stated above in details.
- If the student does not fulfil the attendance requirement, as mentioned, he/she will be debarred from appearing for the End Semester Examinations.
- A student must pay the semester fee (including the examination fee) by the notified last date.
- Students will be required to submit the examination form for the arrear papers (if any) and also the examination fee for the arrear papers.
- Student who has any disciplinary charge against his / her name may not be permitted to appear for the End Semester Examinations.
- Fulfilling the above criteria, Online Admit Card will be issued to the students through student portal of Official Website of the University.
Eligibility for Promotion
- All the students will be eligible for promotion subject to the fulfilment of the requirement of minimum attendance as stated earlier.
- A student must pass in at least 50% of all the papers/obtain 50% of total Credits in the Academic Year to be eligible for promotion in the successive academic year.
Pass Marks
- Each paper (excluding Foundation Course Paper): 40%
- Foundation Course Paper: 30%
Guidelines Regarding Penalties for Breach of Discipline during University Examinations
- In the Examination Hall the candidate shall be under the disciplinary control of the Invigilator, and he/she shall obey the instructions of Invigilator. No candidate shall use unfair-means or indulge in disorderly conduct or malpractice during, or in connection with the examinations.
- Any student in possession of mobile phone, cog sheets, etc., or engaged in blatant copying or passing Answer Script to his / her neighbour will face RA (Reported Against). In such a case, the Invigilator will instantly confiscate the unauthorized material(s) from the concerned student, and immediately report the same to the competent authorities for further necessary action.
Review of Answer Scripts
- Immediately after the publication of results, the students will be duly notified both on the University website (www.sxuk.edu.in), as well as on the University Notice Board about how to apply for ‘Review of Answer Scripts’.
- Review is offered for both Regular and Arrear Papers. No Review is offered for Supplementary Examination Papers, nor for Practical Papers, Project Papers, Assignments and Field Work.
- A candidate appearing at End Semester Examination may apply to the Controller of Examinations (COE) for Re-examination of his / her Answer Script(s) of an Examination. Such Application for review including payment of fees, will only be done in online mode using the University website (www.sxuk.edu.in) through student’s login.
- Such application for Re-examination (UG and PG) shall be restricted to a maximum half the number of Theoretical Papers of that Semester only.
- The Review marks will stand irrespective of whether the marks are more or less than the original marks.
Seeing of Answer Scripts
- Candidates may apply for ‘Seeing of Answer Scripts’ (SAS) of one or more papers, but only after the entire Review process is over.
- The students will be duly notified both on the University website (www.sxuk.edu.in) as well as the University Notice Board about how to apply for SAS.
- No Review will be allowed after SAS, and there is no scope of alteration of marks at this stage.
- To apply for SAS, a candidate need not have earlier applied for Review. The main purpose of allowing a candidate to see his / her Answer Script is to enable him / her to obtain the feedback on his / her performance.
- The student will be duly notified regarding the date and time of SAS by the COE Office. The Dean / HOD / Subject Teacher will be present at the time of SAS. After the student has gone through his / her Answer Script, the Dean / HOD / Subject Teacher will give the necessary feedback to the COE in a prescribed Format.
- The student can not accompany any one during Seeing of Answer Script (SAS) inside the COE Office.
- Application for SAS including payment of the requisite fees will be an online process using the University website (www.sxuk.edu.in) through student’s login.
Arrear Examination
- An Arrear Paper is one in which a student fails to secure the minimum Qualifying Marks (50% for MBA and 40% for the other UG/PG Courses). Arrear Paper may arise either through failure or absence in Semesters 1 – 4 (in case of Law, 1 – 8) (UG) and Semesters 1 – 2 (PG) Examinations. Such Arrears will be indicated in the Semester Mark sheets.
- A student will be permitted to appear for an Arrear Paper in the next appropriate Semester.
- A Composite Paper has two components, Theory and Practical. A student has to pass in both, separately. However, he/she will have to appear in the next appropriate Semester for an Arrear Examination only for the part (Theory/Practical) in which he/she has failed or had been absent.
- Application to sit for Arrear Papers, including payment of the requisite fees, will be an online process using the University website (www.sxuk.edu.in) through student’s login.
Supplementary Examinations
- A Supplementary Examinations will be held students of the –
- UG Course, who have Arrear Papers only from Semesters 5 – 6 (in case of Law, Semester 9 – 10), provided there are no Arrear Papers from Semesters 1 – 4 (in case of Law, Semester 1 – 8). The Supplementary Examinations will be held after the publication of Semester 6 (in case of Law, Semester 10) Results.
- PG Course, who have Arrear Papers only from Semesters 3 – 4, provided there are no Arrear Papers from Semesters 1 – 2. The Supplementary Examinations will be held after the publication of Semester 4 Results.
- Application to sit for Supplementary Papers, including payment of the requisite fees, will be an online process using the University website (www.sxuk.edu.in) through student’s login.
