Calculation of SGPA and CGPA
- Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA)
SGPA is Semester Grade Point Average. It is calculated by dividing total credit points earned by candidate in one semester by total credit points in that semester. SGPA shall be rounded off to two decimal places.
- Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)
CGPA is Cumulative Grade Point Average. It is calculated by dividing total credit points earned by candidate in for the entire course by total credit points in that course. CGPA shall be rounded off to two decimal places.
- Formula Used:
Where, Ci is the credit earned for the course i in any Semester, Gi is the Grade Point obtained by a candidate for the course i, and n is the number of courses passed in that Semester.
Award / Degree
- For Semester results and Academic Transcript, instead of mentioning 1st class or 2nd class, only the percentage of marks and SGPA and CGPA will be shown.
- A rank certificate will be issued to students who hold a position between 1st and 10th in the respective course and pass all papers in first attempt.
