Ph.D. in Social Work
Ph.D. programme in Social Work was introduced in July 2023. Currently the Department has 4 scholars.
Master of Social Work (MSW) Programme
Duration: 2-year (Full-time)

Programme Outcomes (POs):
Upon completion of the Programme the student will be able to
PO1:
Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of the discipline and apply theoretical knowledge into practice.
PO2:
Develop critical understanding about social realities.
PO3:
Communicate effectively in their professional engagements
PO4:
Work as a team leader/member in diverse settings.
PO5:
Adopt ethical practices in professional engagement.
PO6:
Understand and contextualize environmental concerns and contribute towards the betterment of the environment and sustainable growth.
PO7:
Develop prospective avenues for entrepreneurship and work on career enhancement.
Programme Specific Outcome (PSOs):
Upon completion of the Programme the student will be able to
PSO1:
Understand about the philosophy and scope of professional Social Work practice.
PSO2:
Gain knowledge, attitude and skills required by a professional social worker.

Acquire specialization specific expertise to work with service users.

Gain expertise to scientifically approach social issues and conduct social work research.
PSO6: Engage as professionals to advance the cause of social justice and human rights.
