The St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata is set to begin its B.Tech. programmes from the academic session July 2026 under Xavier School of Engineering and Technology, marking a significant step in its commitment to quality technical education and innovation. Established with a vision to nurture future-ready engineers, the School will offer a strong academic foundation combined with hands-on learning, modern laboratories, and industry-oriented curricula. Emphasizing critical thinking, ethical practice, research, and technological advancement, the School aims to prepare students to meet emerging global and societal challenges while contributing meaningfully to sustainable development and national growth.

The School will begin with four undergraduate engineering programmes, each with an intake capacity of 60 students, designed to provide a strong foundation in core engineering principles, practical skills, and industry-relevant knowledge:

1. Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering (B.Tech. in CSE)
2. Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering-Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (B.Tech. in CSE- AI & ML)
3. Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering (B.Tech. in ECE)
4. Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology (B.Tech. in IT)
