The Women's Basketball Team of St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK), emerged victrious in the Basketball Tournament organized by the Indian Maritime University, Kolkata on March 1, 2024. Special recognition goes to Preeta Saumya Kujur and Komal Goyal of MBA Semester 2 (2023-25 Batch) for their outstanding performance. Preeta's exemplary skills on the court have rightfully earned her the title of ‘Player of the Tournament’. Congratulations to the entire team.
Xavier Business School's (XBS) Cricket team became the Champion in the Interdepartmental Cricket Tournament at SXUK. In a thrilling culmination, they secured their first-ever title by defeating the B.Com. (Day) Department in the finals. Congratulations to them for their historic achievement.
Sagnik Das and Udita Roy, both from the MBA 1st Year (2023-25 Batch), secured the 2nd position in 'Drishya' (Short Film Making Competition) at Advaiit, organized by the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Kolkata on March 03, 2024. Congratulations to both of them.

My journey at St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata is an amalgamation of memories and achievements. It has helped me to test, try, and thrive in new opportunities. From participating to organizing, MBA at Xavier Business School (XBS) has been synonymous with fun and practical learning. I am thankful to XBS for nurturing the HR in me. It has helped me to emerge as an ethical and hard-working person.
My two-year at XBS-SXUK is the most enriching and memorable part of my life. XBS played an instrumental role in helping me develop a broader and diverse perspective about life and career through engagement with people and professors from a spectrum of backgrounds. I shall forever remain grateful to XBS for teaching me to tackle new challenges every other day and bring the best out of myself.
The incredible two-year journey at XBS has transformed my approach to life. It has made me more confident, self-reliant, and equipped me with the necessary qualities that will help me navigate my way through the corporate world. I will carry the lessons I've learnt and cherish the people I've met here for the rest of my life. 
St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata is a second home for us. As we gracefully culminate the two years spent here, I express my gratitude to the institution which gave us the path to mould our knowledge. I am sure the upcoming batches here would continue the rich legacy and strive to make us all proud.

SXUK nurtures and prepares you for the corporate world. It provides its students a wide platform to develop their skills through proper application of theoretical knowledge in practical fields. SXUK will always remain close to my heart.

The pristine and harmonious environment with a well-defined administrative system has enabled me to earn the undergraduate degree with a constructive experience. Discipline and methodical adherence to regulations have instilled in me the significance of structure and balance in the attainment of efficiency. The most distinguishing feature is the impeccable camaraderie shared between professors and students. The priceless values and education inscribed within me by SXUK shall remain with me throughout, catapulting my career development and ameliorating myself as an ideal human being.
St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) has been a pioneer in imparting holistic education along with the instillation of principles and values which help its students to face practical world with hard work and a set of skills. The undergraduate programme in the Economics Department here has been a great learning experience to say the least. SXUK has always encouraged me to take initiatives in diverse fields with respect to my inclinations and interests, and continually presented productive opportunities for the same. I am honoured to be a part of this legacy.
If I had to sum up my journey in St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) in a single phrase, it would be – ‘life changing’. Amidst the uncertainties associated with the pandemic and through all the moments of defeat and despair that we went through, SXUK was our safe haven. From the seamless placement experience to course structure, I can truly say that the person who would join SXUK, would definitely find it different from the rest. A big thanks to SXUK and all wonderful friends and mentors I have found here for a truly unforgettable experience!
As a student of MA in Economics in St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK), I must appreciate the course structure and its academic infrastructure. SXUK has helped me to boost up my confidence and combat challenges. It provides a wide range of internship and placement opportunities. Coming from the distant hills of Kashmir to gain experience and knowledge in a completely different environment, St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata has been one of my biggest supports. The University gifted me huge opportunities in the field of academics and extracurricular activities. Choosing to study here has helped me grow with knowledge and enhanced my skills to meet the professional world. I will always cherish and be grateful to the University.
During the two-year postgraduate course, most of time I spent was in online mode; but St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) never failed out to assure its services to its students. We were provided all necessary assistance to overcome the difficulties when many Universities could not even function due to COVID-19 pandemic. From online classes to offline, the journey consisted of enhancing my skills in different activities, forming bonds with the community where I was placed to do internship, exploring different areas which inserted confidence in me, etc. It is a place where students’ voices are heard and opinions are counted. Unending academic pursuits have inspired me grow as a confident and productive human being. I am thankful to my teachers and will always be a true Xaverian.

It not only prepares students in academics, but focuses on their all-round development. With in-depth teaching learning process and individualized attention, the department proves to be a right place for students.
