St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata established the Centre for Incubation, Consultancy and Entrepreneurship (CICE) in January 2021, to promote Incubation, Consultancy, Entrepreneurship and MDP through industry-academia partnership.

MISSION
- Centre for Incubation, Consultancy and Entrepreneurship (CICE) is formed to provide students and alumni of St. Xavier's University, Kolkata a unique, exceptional, and application-oriented education that will be a transforming experience intellectually, culturally, socially and personally, with the mandatory view on values, to produce holistic development of persons;
- To excel in all areas of teaching-learning, research, outreach and consultancy, where innovative ideas and solutions can flourish;
- To offer subjects for competence building, and to motivate/animate a work force imbued with human values;
- To promote academic exchange and academia-industry interfacing, making use of the latest technology;
- To contribute to the well-being of the nation without counting the cost; in the spirit of NIHIL ULTRA (Nothing Beyond), the motto of St. Xavier's.

FUNCTIONS
Incubation & Entrepreneurship:
The centre develops expertise, knowledge and thought leadership for promoting and supporting entrepreneurship, to provide support in terms of solution design and strategy formulation. The centre works towards converting Innovative ideas into successful ventures, with strong focus on relevant Investment/ Funding options.
Consultancy:
CICE takes up Consultancy projects with high applicability including socio-economic implications of the results. CICE conducted a study to map major interest areas of respected faculty members for consultancy projects.
St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata, encourages its faculty members to undertake consultancy projects with the Government Departments, PSUs, Corporate Sector, Industry bodies, NGOs and Academic institutions across the globe. The consultancy projects will facilitate the exchange of knowledge & expertise, and create social awareness, for the greater good of global society.
St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata, encourages its faculty members to undertake consultancy projects with the Government Departments, PSUs, Corporate Sector, Industry bodies, NGOs and Academic institutions across the globe. Thrust Areas:
The consultancy projects may cater to various sectors e.g. Academia, Strategy, Economics, Marketing, Finance, CSR Activities, Women & Child Welfare, Behavioral Sciences, Analytics in decision making, Rural Development, NGO Management, Law, IPR, Administrative System and more.MDP & eMDP:
CICE strongly promotes MDP & eMDP, both classical need based and generated through market demand, both short and long duration. MDPs & eMDPs strongly cater to the market needs and contribute towards strategic enrichment.The MDPs could be offline or online or on hybrid mode.
