Biographical Sketch

Aditya Sarkar is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Commerce and Management at St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in the Department of Commerce at University of Calcutta. He completed his Master of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University in 2022.

His teaching and research interests primarily focus on accounting, finance, economics, time series analysis, climate change, energy economics, women empowerment, and MSME development. He has authored and worked on several research papers covering areas such as oil price shocks and economic growth, exchange rate forecasting, bankruptcy prediction models, foreign exchange reserves, renewable energy, and women entrepreneurship. Alongside academic research, Aditya Sarkar is actively engaged in mentoring students and promoting research awareness. He has presented research papers at academic conferences and continuously contributes to scholarly discussions in the fields of commerce, finance, and economics. His academic objective is to bridge theoretical understanding with practical economic and financial issues through evidence-based research.

With a strong commitment to teaching, research, and lifelong learning, Aditya Sarkar aspires to contribute meaningfully to academia by producing impactful research and fostering analytical and research skills among students and emerging scholars.
