Dr. Animesh Das is working as an Assistant Professor of Law in Xavier Law School, Kolkata since 2019. He completed his Ph.D. from National Law University Delhi. He completed his B.A.LL.B. from the University of Calcutta. and subsequently his LL.M. from the Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur. He has over 10 years of experience in teaching law at various law schools. He has worked and published research papers in the field of International Investment law, International Trade Law and Competition Law. His papers are published both in India and abroad. He has also participated in several conferences across the country and abroad. Noteworthy among them is the Human Rights and International Investment Law PhD Workshop, organised by Erusmus University, Netherlands in October 2022, the Workshop on Issues in South Asian Public Law organised by Bonavero Institute of Human Rights, Oxford University in 2022, and the Summer School on Comparative Law at Fondazione Giambattista Vico, Italy, organised by the University of Campania ‘Luigi Vanvitelli’ in 2018 where he was selected to present his doctoral thesis. Dr. Das is also the recipient of the prestigious Full-Term CentrallyAdministered Doctoral Fellowship 2016-17 from the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Ministry of Human Resource Department, Govt. of India.
