Biographical Sketch
For more than Last 30 years he has been framing Feature Film, Documentaries, Serials, Tele-films, Ad films and corporate films, both in Celluloid and Video. 2 of the documentaries he has worked in have won National Awards. Many have been sent to festivals abroad.
Awards:
• National award for the best Cinematography in the 45Th National Film Festival 1998 for the Film “THE TRAIL” (16mm film). Director Probuddha Bhattacharya. • International Award: International award for the best Cinematography in the Festival International debiarritz, France. For the short film “Winter Tale” 2004 (16 mm film)
He has also worked as a program producer for Doordarshan and other National level private Channels. He has worked in a TV series on hobby titled “Shoker Robibar” on Zee Akash and also worked on travelogue series titled “Dig Dhorshon” for Doordarshan.

Teaching Experience
He is associated with the academics of the subject for the last 24 years. He is associated with many colleges and Institutes like St. Xavier’s College, Calcutta University, Jadavpur University, Roopkala Kendra, Chitrabani, Calcutta Media Institute and Nandan as a guest/visiting faculty. He is also the Examiner as well as paper setter for many Universities.
