Biographical Sketch

Dr. Mili Kar is an accomplished academician and researcher in Finance and Accounting, currently serving as Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Commerce & Management at St. Xavier’s University Kolkata. She holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Assam University, with her doctoral research focusing on performance evaluation of debt-oriented mutual fund schemes in India.

With nearly 12 years of teaching experience at UG and PG levels, Dr. Kar has previously served at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala and Amity University Kolkata. Her research interests span banking sector performance, non-performing assets (NPAs), financial accessibility, mutual funds, and technological innovations in credit delivery. She has presented various papers in national and international seminars and published extensively in Scopus-indexed and peer-reviewed journals and has completed two ICSSR-sponsored research projects. She is also associated with research journal of repute as a reviewer.
