Dr. Mitul Dutta is a passionate teacher with more than a decade of teaching experience in various reputed law schools of India. After completing her B.A.LL.B (hons) from Kalyani University in 2011, she pursued her LLM from West Bengal National University of Juridical Science (W.B.N.U.J.S) in 2013. She qualified UGC NET for lectureship in December 2012. She was awarded her Ph.D. from KIIT University for her thesis titled “Right to Self-Determination under International Law: A Human Rights Perspective.” Dr. Dutta started her teaching journey as an Assistant Professor in KIIT School of Law, Bhubaneshwar in 2014. Before joining Xavier Law School as an Associate professor in 2025, she was working in Symbiosis Law School, Pune as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade). Dr. Dutta has published extensively in reputed international and national journals and has presented research papers in various academic conferences. She teaches wide range of subjects including Public International Law, Private International law, Legal Methods, Jurisprudence, International Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law, International Criminal Law, Law and Justice in a Globalized World, Comparative Law, Law of Torts, etc. In addition to her teaching and research, she has held several administrative role and has extensive experience in organizing a several academic and co- curricular events. Her administrative experiences enriched her professional journey, allowing her to contribute to the academic and personal growth of students beyond the classroom.
