Biographical Sketch

Started as a Guest Faculty in Gokhale Memorial Girls' College and worked there for approximately 1.5 years. Then, shifted to media and worked as desk journalist which offered a wide exposure to various issues including the status of Mental Health in the state and the country. Published news articles on these topics. Spent almost 9 years in media cutting across various reputed houses. Worked in Newspaper, News Television, Private FM & News Digital platform. Meanwhile, finished Ph.D. and published relevant research articles on Selfie and related issues which were becoming too poignant to ignore. After almost 9 years, finally joined back in academia. Currently, she takes UG, PG & Ph.D. classes in the Department of Psychology. Also, she is interested in research and her area of investigation mainly revolves around I/O Psychology, Consumer Behaviour, Media & Psychology, Selfie Craze, Happiness & some of the positive Psychology topics. Apart from teaching, creative writing and photography are something she enjoys. Literature is also her place of comfort. 

Qualifications

  • Awarded Ph.D. in 2019 in Applied Psychology from University of Calcutta (with URF)
  • Qualified NET for Lecturership in June 2012
  • MA in Applied Psychology in 2010
  • BA with Psychology Hons. in 2008
