Biographical Sketch

Dr. Samrat Banerjee is a Senior Scale Assistant Professor in Commerce at St. Xavier's University, Kolkata. He joined the university in July 2019 and specializes in Accounting and Finance. He completed his M.Com. from Goenka College under the University of Calcutta, securing First Class First position and receiving a Gold Medal. He also qualified the UGC-NET examination in Commerce in his first attempt. He earned his Ph.D. from The University of Burdwan.

His areas of research include Corporate Restructuring, Financial Management, Behavioural Finance, Stock Market Studies, ESG-based Corporate Sustainability. He has published several research papers in international peer-reviewed journals indexed under ABDC and UGC-CARE and has also written newspaper article on topics such as cryptocurrency.
