Dr. Sayani Saha is an Assistant Professor of Management in the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies at St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata, where she has been serving since 2018. She is currently serving her second tenure as the Head of the Department of Management Studies from April 2026. Earlier, she headed the Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) program from July 2019 to June 2022.
Dr. Saha has held several important academic and administrative positions within the University. She served as the Professor-in-Charge of the Xavier’s Commerce and Management Society from 2018 to 2022 and is presently the Professor-in-Charge of the Centre for Innovation, Consultancy and Entrepreneurship (CICE). She has also been associated with the University Sports Society in a leadership role as the Professor-in-Charge.
Prior to joining St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata, she worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Christ (Deemed to be University) for two years. Earlier, she served as Assistant Manager (High Net Worth Individual – Current Accounts) at Axis Bank Ltd for 2.5 years.
With over 13 years of combined industry, academic, research, and administrative experience in Marketing and Management, Dr. Saha has participated in several national and international seminars and conferences and has publications in reputed journals and edited volumes.
A distinguished academic performer, she received the Silver Medal in MBA from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology in 2011 from the then Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal, Shri M. K. Narayanan. She was also awarded the prestigious B.K. Mitra Gold Medal and the Political Science Department Award from Loreto College under University of Calcutta.
