Dr. Somnath Banerjee is an Associate Professor in the Department of Commerce and Management in the St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata. Apart from having full time teaching experience of more than 21 years in the fields of Commerce and Management, he had a short stint in the Industry in Equity Research. He has delivered Management Development Programs for the corporate in various areas of Finance. He has presented his research papers in Indian and International conferences. His doctoral research was focussed in the area of Earnings Management in Indian firms. Application of Analytics in Finance is another area of his interest apart from conventional areas like capital structure, dividends and value relevance.
