Faculty Profile

Dr. Srijita Ghosh is a young academic in Economics, specializing in Environmental Economics and with an interest in sustainable resource management. She obtained her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Calcutta, where her doctoral work focused on Sustainable Forest and Watershed Management in a Developing Country. She also completed her M.Phil. in Economics from the same institution in 2019, submitting a dissertation titled Watershed Management Programme in the Dryland Areas of West Bengal. In 2017, she successfully qualified the UGC-NET Examination in Economics. Dr. Ghosh earned her B.Sc. in Economics from Gokhale Memorial Girls’ College in 2014 and completed her M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Calcutta in 2016. Her academic interests span environmental sustainability, watershed management, forest governance, and climate policy challenges in developing countries.
