Biographical Sketch

 Dr. Gitu Singh has been awarded the Doctorate Degree in Law from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University in the year 2017. She qualified the UGC NET (JRF) examination in the year 2009. She has pursued B.A. LL.B. (2005) and LL. M. (2007) from The Department of Law, University of North Bengal. Dr. Singh started her journey as an academician from S K Acharya Institute of Law, University of Kalyani, Kalyani, West Bengal in the year 2007. She has taught in various reputed law Universities/Schools such as Hidayatullaha National Law University, Department of Law, University of North Bengal, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University, Lucnow, UP and School of Legal Studies, Babu Banarasi Das University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. She has looked into the academic and administrative functioning as Professor In-charge, School of Legal Studies, Babu Banarasi Das University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. 

Her subject interest is in Constitutional Law, Administrative Law and Criminology. The title of her Ph.D. Thesis is ‘Role of Freedom of Electronic Media in Indian Democracy: Legal Issues and Challenges’. She has her research works published in various National and International journals and has authored few edited books.
