Ms. Mohar Mitra is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Xavier Law School, St. Xavier's University, Kolkata. She has completed her BA.LLB. from ICFAI University, Dehradun, and her LLM from The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), with a specialisation in Intellectual Property Rights. Presently, she is pursuing her Doctoral Research at NUJS, focusing on an area of Intellectual Property Law and Traditional Cultural Expression, furthering her commitment to academic excellence. Ms. Mitra qualified for the UGC-NET for Assistant Professor in 2024, reflecting her dedication to teaching and academic development. Believing that teaching and research go hand in hand, she has actively engaged in research-oriented projects. She served as a Research Assistant in a collaborative project between Bankura University and NUJS, contributing significantly to its objectives. Additionally, she has assisted the West Bengal Lokayukta in the Criminal Law Reform Committee, showcasing her versatility in applying legal knowledge to diverse fields of law reform. With a passion for teaching, Ms. Mitra blends her academic expertise with a keen interest in research.
