Ms. Mousumi Hazra is a legal scholar and an educator in the field of law. She completed her schooling from Loreto Convent Entally, Kolkata. She pursued her undergraduate studies in Sociology (Honours) at Lady Brabourne College, Kolkata. Following this, she obtained her LL.B. (Honours) and LL.M degree from Hooghly Mohsin College with First Class. Following her graduation, she enrolled as an Advocate under the Bar Council of West Bengal, successfully cleared the All India Bar Examination and received Certificate of Practice. Ms. Hazra successfully qualified the UGC-NET examination for the post of Assistant Professor in Law. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Burdwan.
Alongside her academic pursuits, she has practical experience as an advocate in the Calcutta High Court. In addition, she has served as an Assistant Professor of Law at Brainware University, Barasat. Presently, she is serving as an Assistant Professor of Law under the Faculty of Commerce and Management at St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata. Ms. Hazra has also served as a resource person for several academic endeavours in different eminent institutions.
