Risav Adhikari is an educator and researcher in the field of finance, currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Commerce & Management at St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata since 2019. With over six years of teaching experience, he has taught courses in Financial Management, Financial Statement Analysis, Auditing, Computerised Accounting, and Business Research using SPSS. He is presently pursuing his Ph.D. at St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata under the University of Calcutta, where his research focuses on the impact of behavioural biases and personality traits on investor behaviour.
Mr. Adhikari completed his M.Com in Finance from St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata and earned his B.Com (Honours) in Accounting and Finance from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. He qualified both the UGC NET and the West Bengal SET examinations, and was awarded eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellow (JRF).
His research interests include personal finance, behavioural finance, financial literacy and ESG investing. He has authored and co-authored several research papers published in reputed journals and edited volumes, with his work focusing on areas such as investor behaviour, financial knowledge, entrepreneurial intention, and financial decision-making.
In addition to his academic and research contributions, Mr. Adhikari has actively participated in faculty development programmes and workshops related to data analytics, research methodology, structural equation modelling, and academic publishing. He possesses proficiency in statistical and accounting software including IBM SPSS Statistics, Jamovi and Tally ERP. He is also skilled in Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) and bibliometric analysis techniques for academic research. Furthermore, he has supervised undergraduate research projects and contributed to academic evaluation processes.
