Budding Entrepreneurs are the future of India. A huge proportion of the students of St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata is from Business families and with strong business acumen and mindset, and in good number of cases are the potential entrepreneurs. Therefore, equip them with key opportunities will result in speedy success and fulfil their entrepreneurship goal, and translate into good for the society contributing towards employment generation and to GDP.
In this context, Centre for Incubation, Entrepreneurship and Consultancy (CICE) of St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata is conducting a series of eConferences: ‘Looking Beyond Borders’, and organized ‘Exploring Opportunities for Entrepreneurs to do Business with the United Kingdom’ on 4th May 2021.
The eConference started with kind blessings and Welcome Address by Rev. Fr. Dr. J. Felix Raj, S.J., Vice-Chancellor, St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata. Father VC shared experience during his visits to Xaverian Entrepreneurs and Industrialists in London and other parts of England including Mr.L. N. Mittal. He has kindly appreciated the strong support by Alumni during foundation of the University. Father VC has mentioned the difference between entrepreneurs and managers, how entrepreneurs multiply the business and why our country requires generating more and more entrepreneurs. Mutual efforts of United Kingdom and India will definitely result strong and successful impact on entrepreneurship journey of both the countries.
Chief Guest H.E. Mr. Nick Low, British Deputy High Commissioner Kolkata mentioned the strong relation and cooperation between the United Kingdom and India in fighting the pandemic, trade investment, defence, health, fight against climate change. He took several examples from British entrepreneurs and mentioned regarding innovations from UK. He has strongly motivated the future entrepreneurs from St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata, who says YES to this adventure and thus achieve success.
