Department of Mass Communication, St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK), organised its annual infotainment and cultural event, Xphoria 6.0, on August 31, 2026, welcoming new students and fostering interaction and camaraderie among different batches.

The programme opened with an energetic dance performance by students, setting the tone for a lively day of entertainment and celebration. An engaging quiz session followed, drawing enthusiastic participation from students.

A major attraction of the event was the “One Minute to Fame” talent competition, which provided newcomers with an opportunity to showcase their creativity and individual talents. The celebrations continued with an entertaining skit presented by students of the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes from Semesters 3 and 5, highlighting collaboration and interaction across batches.

The event concluded with a lively jamming session, creating an atmosphere of music and togetherness. Student Convenor Rooprekha Ghosh formally concluded the programme with the Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the contributions of the organisers, volunteers, students and faculty. The event was attended by all faculty members. Dr. Somak Sen was the coordinator of the programme.
