I have completed my Ph.D from Department of Hindi, Presidency University, Kolkata under the guidance of Prof. Tanuja Majumdar. The title of my thesis is “Krishna Sobti aur Indira Goswami ke Upnyason mein Stree Vimarsh” (Women discourse in the novels of Krishna Sobti and Indira Goswami). I have qualified UGC-NET (Hindi), 2017. Currently, I am also engaged as Resource Person, Department of Hindi, Ananda Mohan College, Kolkata and as a Guest Faculty for Hindi in the Department of Commerce, Shri Shikshayatan College, Kolkata.
My areas of specialization include comparative literature, women writing, women discourse, and translation. My field of interests are Women Discourse and Women Writings in India particularly in Hindi and Comparative Literature. I have a keen interest in drawing and illustrations, and also like to explore the cultural history and social impact of inscriptions in different folk art form like pattachitra, kohbar art, worli art, etc.
My ongoing research includes study of sociocultural diversity and human values through the panoramic view of regional and world literature. I am interested in study of patriarchy and matriarchy in the context of Indian and world literature to delineate its root cause and its effect on socioeconomic status and well-being of women in different societies.
